Recent Upgrades The current owners purchased Dannebrog in Thailand with the intention of relocating it to Langkawi. In preparation for the voyage the following upgrades were completed. • Original 450mm propellor was upgraded to 770mm – resulting in greater fuel economy at slow revs. • Windlass was added and new 52kg Stainless Steel Anchor, 10mm chain and rope • Ballast was originally 500 clay bricks, these were removed and 1000kg of sandbags (triple bagged) were used. Most are in the bow with others at the stern above the propellor shaft. • A stability test was completed after the addition of the extra ballast. The result showed that approx.. 19.5 people at average 90 kg each could be on one side of the top deck before exceeding the safety limit. The vessel is registered for 12 people. • The black water system was upgraded to make it relatively foolproof. An additional pump was added to service the two black water tanks. Switching is installed to prepare for either pump out or open valve. • A swim and safety ladder was installed to the stern allowing access from the water to the salon deck. • A large compass was purchased for the helm station – not permanently installed but can be if required • A Garmin FF550 Depth Sounder and GPS Chart Plotter was fitted. This model connects to AIS (not fitted). • The rudder and controls were refurbished

The main filter is a “whole house” filter, but this can be changed to a 5 micron local filter for changeover or cleaning access. • The brightwork – rails, entry deck, stairs were sanded and changed to teak oil finish to save on future maintenance (more often but quicker ad no sanding ) • The BBQ area was refurbished and treated with single pack epoxy coating on the floor. • The Capt.'s Cabin shower tray was upgraded with new drains and stainless steel drain tray. • Internet connectivity was upgraded with mesh Wi-Fi coverage and multiple broadcast points.
